Kamagra (sildenafil) should not be taken in case you are on a nitrate drug for treating chest pain or heart problems. The list of nitrates given below is not full; ask your doctor if your drug contains nitrates:
- nitroglycerin available under brand names: Nitrostat, Nitrolingual, Nitro-Dur, Nitro-Bid;
- isosorbide dinitrate – Dilatrate-SR, Isordil, Sorbitrate;
- isosorbide mononitrate – Imdur, ISMO, Monoket;
- recreational drugs – amyl nitrate or nitrite (“poppers”).
Taking Kamagra containing sildenafil with nitrates can cause a sudden and serious decrease in blood pressure.
Kamagra should be taken only once a day. A period of 24 hours should pass between doses.
If your erection is painful or lasts longer than 4 hours (the condition is known as priapism) contact your doctor immediately or seek medical help. A prolonged erection can damage the penis.
Sildenafil can cause sudden vision loss and sudden hearing loss. These conditions can appear in people who are predisposed to hearing or vision problems and in those who suffer from heart disease, diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol. These adverse reactions are very rare, still be watchful and carefull while taking Kamagra.
